Just A Day Cover Art

Track Listing: 1.) Just A Day     2.) Can't Stand Losing You     3.) Piece By Piece (Video)

The most commercial of the Just A Day singles, containing both songs which have seen radio play. The title track is good, catchy and energetic. Their Police cover, though, isn't too grand. Their cover comes off well, and the chorus is fair enough to jump around to, but it is a song not evidencing much variation or musical appeal, in my opinion. The Piece By Piece video on the disc is not the college-animation-project-esque "3D Flying Band Members" video that most know, but the video of Suffocate, edited to synch with the song. Not a terrible single, but not exactly good either.

Track Listing: 1.) Just A Day     2.) Emily     3.) Slow Burn     4.) Just A Day (Video)

The greatest single that Feeder have released in a while, excepting Buck Rogers CD1. Again, the title track is a fine work, and quite widely appealing. However, the b-sides are rightly amazing. Emily is a grand track, with a slow verse and perfect pace building to a verily rocking chorus, and Slow Burn is a great track reminiscent of Feeder's Polythene-era grandeur and their more recent track Purple. A brilliant release well worth one's money.

Just A Day Cover Art

Track Listing: 1.) Just A Day (Alan Moulder Mix)     2.) Emily

This is the limited vinyl release issued a week after the single proper. It contains a different mix of Just A Day, which I have not yet heard, although I surmise it to be the GT 3 mix. Furthermore, it contains the wonderful and engrossing Emily, one of my new favorite b-sides. A very good single.
