Holy Crap!
1/18/03:
Rest assured that I have thoroughly kicked my own ass for being so lax in updating this site. That said, I shall launch into the series of things I need to address. First, and by far the most important thing, this month contained the one year anniversary of Jon's death (A tribute can be viewed on Feederweb). He was a fabulous man, who gave the band a delightful character and tone, who played with emotion and dedication. He is still very much missed by all, but I would divine he would be pleased with the relatively constant success and exposure of his band. Rest in peace dear Jon. Second, you might have noticed the site overhaul, which happily took only about two hours to complete. I am infitely pleased with it, especially pleased with the artwork of Aya Tanako, the hyper cool artists responsible for Feeder's recent cover artwork, which, despite my dissapointment with some of their new material, is hands down the most beautiful art the band has ever put on their releases. Please tell me your opinions on the site layout on the keen Message Board. Lastly, I now have the complete list of lyrics to the Come Back Around B-sides, and the lyrics to Power Of Love. Thanks to Dave for the Feel It Again Lyrics, and Stu for getting me Opaque and Bullet so I could write out the lyrics, and thanks to Seth for the Power Of Love lyrics. Hopefully I can keep this site a little more regularly updated. Anyway, enjoy.
New Site Link & Lyrics Change
11/6/02:
Having become somewhat more inclined to quickly update this site, I present to you two other updates, both courtesy of other Feeder fans. The first is the replacement of the sadly deceased Nurofen button with a link to Stereo World, a very keen fan site. Visit now, I suggest to you. The second update is a change to the lyrics of b-side Divebomb. Huge thanks to Lee for this, who was also kind enough to illuminate that the meaning of the song, straight from Grant, is about the worry of growing old and not having security.
Behold, Updates!
11/5/02:
Well, as you can see I'm working on moving the dates of updating closer and closer, until they cross each other and the temporal stability of the site collapses. The first update I present to you is a bevy of new tour dates announced from the oh-so-pretty Feederweb. Visit the Tour section to regard these dates. The second update I present is the entire set of lyrics for Feeder's new album, "Comfort In Sound". Find the lyrics scattered throughout the Songs section. And don't forget about the hyper cool lyric search I wrote all by myself. It works with the new songs. I have also lightly updated the Band Bio page. Furthermore, I have added the new album and the new single to the Discography section, along with my review of the album therein. Finally, the most important new item of all, our favorite Dutch friend Lester K has provided us with a fun couple of threads on the message board, all of which make for very fun reading. It is truly a pleasure to know that I have created an entity that is worthy enough of Lester's presence, and compelling enough to make someone waste so much time so foolishly. In tribute, the following image. Thanks for your patronage kiddo!
Updates?
10/4/02:
I well realise I have been quite remiss in updating this site. Sorry about that, college is just not the ideal environment
for the possession of free time. That said, I do have a few updates to post. First, as of Monday, the new single "Come Back Around" has been
released. I have not yet made the purchase or obtained the songs, as such lyrics for b-sides are pending my receipt of the record. However, as
it stands, I have the lyrics for Come Back Around posted under the Lyrics section. You can also go directly
to the song via a click here. The other update is the posting of the Comfort In Sound discography entry, sans review, again due to its lack of release yet. Go here to engage in viewing it. With any luck, perhaps some updates of substance shall find their way to this site.
Album Tracklisting & Tour
8/1/02:
I present to you all a quick update regarding the tracklisting for
"Comfort In Sound". Keep in mind that this is wholly subject to change in
both order and nomenclature, but here it is anyway.
1) All
In All
2) Walk 3) Just The Way I'm Feeling 4) Come Back
Around 5) Find The Colour 6) Helium 7) Child In You
8) Ascend 9) Godzilla 10) Before We Find Out
11) Crystal 12) Late 13) Forget About
Tomorrow.
Again, the album has a current release date of October 21st, and shall be
preceeded by new single "Come Back Around", which has been played on Radio
1 as of last night. I have not yet heard it, so I can construct no
meaningful opinions. As another point of order, I have updated the Tour section with their new tour
dates. Enjoy.
Look! I Can Copy Feederweb's News
7/31/02:
Well, Feederweb is now evidently posting updates, and quite tantalizing
updates they are. There are two releases planned for the next couple of
months, being a single closely followed by their fourth proper album. The
single shall be released ont he 30th of September, being "Come Back
Around", of the same name as the Turn b-side, but a different, new
version, perhaps even a new song altogether, I can't truly say. This
shall be followed by a new album, entitled "Comfort In Sound", reminiscent
of a 'Purple' lyric, which is to be released on the 21st of October. As a
side note, I was planning to update this site to SVG, but it just didn't
work out. If you want, a screenshot of the intended design can be found
here. As always,
watch Feederweb for news.
A Hint Of Updates
6/16/02:
Only minor news to report for today, seized quite directly from the feederweb mailing list. Apparently Feeder intend to play a warmup show before Reading in August, but no confirmations exist on venue or time. Secondly, the new album is being co-produced by Gil Norton, of Foo Fighters association. Please note that I shall be in France from the 19th of June to the 3rd of July, so expect not any updates during that time.
Absence Makes For Lots Of News
6/4/02:
My apologies for the prolonged absence of updates until now. Hopefully any discontent shall be satiated by the update offerings I bring forth. Not gold nor precious spices, but mildly similar. The first update which I present to patrons of this site is a new feature added to the lyrics section, being a search function that works pretty well and was done all by myself. Examine it in the Lyrics section. If you have any trouble, email me, please. The second update I present is a new MP3, and a rare one it is. Said MP3 calls itself Polythene Girl performed live in Milwaukee on May 20th, 1998. The quality is not exactly outstanding, but it's listenable. Plus, I don't know of any other recordings of this song played live. Find this track by visiting the Sounds section. Oh, and you can now see the date next to this update. Grey is certainly more visible than silver.
Finely Aged News
5/10/02:
Contrary to what one may divine from reading this page over the past week or two, there actually has been news related to Feeder happening. The main bit of interest is their spot on the Reading and Leeds festival,
where they shall headline the main tent in Reading on August 23rd, and shuttle themselves over to Leeds to play on the next day. Following this, they shall play the Glasgow Gig on the Green on the 25th of the same month. Regarding new material, they have roughly ten tracks done, with another five approaching. It appears as if the management is hoping for late 2002 / early 2003 release dates for either a single or the album proper. One can read more information and recent goings-on at Feederweb.
Another New Site Link
4/25/02:
Sorry for the temporary stagnation, but I now present to you a link to a site that has linked to mine for a while and is deserving in its own right of a link from mine. What site one may ask? The site is James Mackenzie's Feeder Bootlegs page, which contains a wealth of live audio and rare tracks, in addition to a lovely video CD and a CD full of b-sides and the like. I guarantee you shall quite thoroughly enjoy yourself or at least enrich your collection through a visitation. Embark via a click here, or on the pictoral link finding itself on the right-hand sidebar.
New Site Link
4/14/02:
There now exists on the sidebar of sites a new link, this time to Chris Flynn's unofficial Feeder FAQ. A very nice, very informative site that can aptly answer most Feeder questions, save those obscure few that no one seems to know. So give this site the patronage it deserves and browse through the Unofficial Feeder FAQ. Return with more knowledge than when you departed.
New Wallpaper
4/10/02:
To continue with the recent trend of updating somewhat frequently, I have taken it upon myself to craft a new wallpaper. I don't actually know if anyone downloads them, but it is an amusement for me anyway. And I would highly recommend this wallpaper, using the stereo world inner art and a variety of pleasing cream tones and effective use of negative space. Quite lovely, if one is willing to download it. Assuming one is, one can download it through the Other Files subset of the Media page. Enjoy.
New Link Everybody!
4/8/02:
As the title states, I have added a link to a most magnificent site, The Feeder Anorak. An amazing resource for those desiring a thorough compilation of effectively all released material by Feeder. And, most importantly, it has scans of nearly every album / single / promo / etc. cover and back art and the actual CD. This is an incredibly valuable resource, and as such I have used it to update the Drink Me and Just A Day discography entries with complete artwork. Visit The Feeder Anorak via a click to the precedent link or through the sidebar listing found to your right. Also updated, for those who may have noticed, is the left sidebar, now with updated photos of all band members, including newcomer Mark Richardson.
General Updates
4/7/02:
After having gone quiet for quite some time, I can now resume pseudo-regular updating of my site, mainly due to the fact that the pace of Feeder related news has resumed its regularity. As such, I can impart to those desiring to know, assuming that they are not already cognisant of the fact, that Feeder have in fact obtained a new drummer. Contrary to certain rumors, it shall not be Cay's drummer, but ex-Skunk Anansie drummer Mark Richardson. Grant, Taka and Mark are in the process of rehearsing material for their upcoming album, of which I have no details at all, save that recording shall commence in around a month. I shall have more news as events warrant.
Feeder News
2/24/02:
As happens from time to time, I present Feeder news which is already known to many. There have been rumors circulating of Feeder chosing either the drummer from Cay or Skunk Anansie, but they have as of yet not officially confirmed anything of the sort. To that end, Grant and Taka have taken to the studio once more to work on a handful of demos. And, for any stateside Feeder fans, they have not surprisingly cancelled any plans to go the United States this year. Understandable, but decidedly bothersome. Keep checking Feederweb for the most current information.
Rebirth
2/16/02:
Well, as many other sites have re-commenced with updating, I figured that I should follow suit. As such, I have posted yet another MP3 from my collection, being Stereo World live at the London Astoria. It's a great song that they rarely do live (although their recent tour saw more performing of this track), and features some fun commentary by Grant at the beginning. As always, one can access this file via the Sounds section. The second part of this update is an addition to the MP3 list. I have had many trade requests sent in to me (I sincerely apologize for any great amount of time between my receipt and my reply. Sorry) and most people have the problem of not having anything I don't already. As such, I have added a list of non-Feeder audio which is also a suitable barter. View this on the MP3 Trading List. All for now.
Aftermath
1/24/02:
It has been a slight amount under two weeks since Jon Lee's departure, and I just wanted to let visitors know that I shall be updating this site with content as it appears. I just did not want to add to the redundant deluge of speculation regarding Jon's life. For any information concerning this event, visit either Feederweb or Collie's Tribute Page. Having little in the way of content, I can only offer the vinyl cover (no back) art for the Just A Day single, accessible through the Discography page.
Jon Lee (1968 - 2002)
1/10/02:
On Monday the 7th of January, Jon Lee was found dead in his house in Miami, having taken his own life. With his death, the world lost both a fabulous musician and a truly fine man. The immensity of the death of so fine an artist is very difficult to fathom, and I am still in a cold state of shock. Jon gave both force and direction to Feeder's countless songs, shifting between contemplative and roaringly aggressive with ease. His death is one of the most tragic destructions of talent and style I have witnessed within my lifetime. I never received the chance to meet him in person, but by all regards Jon was a thoroughly grounded, unassuming and amiable fellow. His resilience and dedication to both fans and the band, evidenced in his continuation of playing even while having a broken ankle a few tours ago, is something that is in far too scarce supply now. Grant has stated that they shall remain together as a group, stating, "We've all worked too hard to give up now - it's just a shame that Jon won't be there with us".
I send my deepest condolences to Tatiana and Cameron, Jon's wife and son respectively, Grant and Taka, and all who knew and respected Jon. I only hope that the adoration and respect of the many fans who enjoyed Jon's contribution to the world serve as a proper eulogy for this dearly missed artist. Rest in well-earned, if tragically premature, peace Jon Lee. You will be missed by a great many.
Collie, a veteran Feeder fan, has created an elegant tribute to Jon, containing many links allowing visitors to pay tribute to Jon via messageboards or donations to charity. Information is also available regarding the funeral, which is being stressed as "unrestricted". Please take the time and visit the site by clicking here.
MP3 List & Tabs Update
1/4/02:
I have just made an update to the ever increasing MP3 list, having obtained the T In The Park set and some other such, rendering the total at 302 tracks possessed by myself. I reitterate that all are tradeable, most specifically the live sets, of which there are many. You can access the MP3 list via a mouse click here. Also, thanks again to Alex Ball, there have been some updates to the Echo Park and Swim tabs. One can access the tabs section here.
Another MP3
12/31/01:
Thanks to Stu of Crashmat, I have come into possession of the decidedly excellent set Feeder played at T In The Park 2001. Thanks to a friend, I have put the set into MP3 format, and present to all a new MP3, which exists in conjunction with the recently posted MP3 of Whooey live. Said MP3 is a very rare song, not played live in a grandly long while, being Crash. You can access it by going to the Sounds page. Amuse yourself well, and Happy New Year.
New MP3
12/30/01:
In a slight effort to make up for the relative lack of Feeder news around this time, I have decided to post yet another MP3 from my collection, this time being a relatively unique track. That being said, the track is Whooey, performed live at an undisclosed venue in Las Vegas. It is good in that Feeder rarely play this song live, that the quality of the song is rather nice, and that the lyrics are different from the recorded version. You can access the MP3 via the Sounds section. Enjoy.

Drink Me
12/24/01:
To complete the second part of my promise, I have now posted a discography entry for the relatively little-known Drink Me sampler which Echo released in 1996. You can view the entry for this item here. Additionally, my wishes go to all for a happy and enjoyable holiday. Merry Christmas.
Tabs Section Added
12/22/01:
As promised, I now have a tabs section added, with complete guitar tablature for every song that Feeder have released. All the credit for the tabbing of the songs goes to Alex Ball, of the band Nuclear Fish. These tabs are quite accurate and very helpful. You can view the tabs page here.
Just A Day Discography Entry
12/20/01:
I have finally added the entry for the Just A Day singles, albeit without the typical high quality cover art. Hopefully that shall be arriving soon enough. You can view the single's discography entry here. Coming soon shall be a like entry for the Drink Me sampler of yore, and a tabs section, as Alex Ball has just released tabs for all the new b-sides. Until then.
Lyrics Info
12/13/01:
Just a brief update to inform the wondering few that I have been making a few changes to the lyrics for Slow Burn and Emily, thanks to the keen ears of James The Punk and Stu. So they are now almost entirely accurate. Go to the Song Listing page to view said lyrics. Also, I will hopefully have the Just A Day discography entry up soon, just waiting on cover and back art from a source. And upon the release of the vinyl copy this Monday, I will have that entry up as well within a range of days.
Just A Day
12/10/01:
Feeder's new single, Just A Day, was released today. It consists of the tracks Just A Day, Can't Stand Losing You, Slow Burn and Emily. In my opinion, the title track and CSLY are somewhat underwhelming, but Emily and Slow Burn are two absolutely stunning b-sides. However, form your own opinions regarding the tracks. And to help you in doing so, visit the Lyrics page for complete lyrics for Just A Day and the b-sides. Some lines might be off, so if your opinion differs from mine, drop me a line. Note that the actual album discography entry is not up yet, but I plan on having that within the next few days. Enjoy grandly.
New MP3 & Just A Day B-sides
12/7/01:
I have finally overcome FTP woes and thusly there exists a newborn MP3 still wrapped in swadling cloth on this site. The MP3 is an alternate version of High, essentially a studio recording of the live performance of the song. Obtain this song via the Sounds section. Furthermore, The Official Feeder Site has the b-sides from Just A Day on their site for sampling. If you feel so inclined as to listen, precipitate yourself towards that site with due haste.
JAD & Layout Changes
12/3/01:
Sorry for the lack of updates, and sorrier that I have not much to bring. But... For those who are not aware, Feeder's release of Just A Day has been characteristically pushed back from today (December 3rd) to next Monday the 10th. With site related news, though, I have added Stu C's site Nurofen to the associates, and updated TMS' (Aquarium) button. Give these sites a visit, some great content. Other changes include some aesthetic and organizational changes to the Media Section. Pretty self-explanatory, excepting that the MP3 Trading List is now in the 'Other Files' section. Lastly, if anyone knows of a quality host for MP3 files, please do email me. I have been having a great deal of trouble as of late with my FTP and this site, and am at a lost for another file host.
MP3 List and Associates
11/16/01:
Well, being home sick certainly does improve one's industry. That said, I have made two changes for today. First, I have updated the evergrowing MP3 Trading List. Second, I have made needed changes to the associates sidebar. Regretfully, I have taken down the Feeder Mecca, which is no longer in existance. I have changed the feederonline logo, and added the new home of the Mecca, the dogzbollocks (for men and women you know). I plan to have another MP3 up as soon as my host gets over some FTP troubles.
Wallpaper
11/15/01:
What with the lack of news, it seems time for an update of some manner, if only to show that I still run this site. As such, be the first kid on your block to download the Anaesthetic Desktop Wallpaper. Simply unzip the bitamp file contained in the .zip file to your windows directory, and set it as your wallpaper. Select the file according to your desktop size: 800 x 600 Wallpaper or 1024 x 768 Wallpaper. Enjoy.
Just A Day Release Changes
11/5/01:
Just a quick note that, as expected, Feeder have pushed the release date of Just A Day back a week or two, now having it slated for release on December 3rd. No track changes or anything, though. They seem to be really pushing for it to do well, moreso than their other singles, which they pretty much let promote themselves. My secret hope is that they drop Just A Day and dually release Purple and TV Me, but that obviously will not be happening. Anyway, check out The Official Feeder Site for up to date release information.
Just A Day
10/25/01:
In response to the potential success of Just A Day, I have for all who want it a high quality MP3 of Just A Day performed live at the Reading 2001 festival. The song comes across very well live, easily topping the studio version, in my humble opinion. Access the file directly by clicking here, or obtain it via the Sounds page. Enjoy.
One Year Anniversary
10/22/01:
To all those who came searching for current news, I'm sorry, because today there is none for me to tell. I just wanted to inform all those who may read this that today marks the one year anniversary of my site. Thrilling, I know. Coincidentally, today also marks the release of Crackout's debut album, 'This Is Really Neat'. I'd recommend it.
Days, Movies and a Broken Finger
10/19/01:
Three items of varying degrees of importance. Firstly, just to clarify some previous information, the release date is now November 19th, and the layout of the tracks is to be as such: CD1 - Just A Day : Can't Stand Losing You : Piece By Piece (Video). CD2 - Just A Day : Emily : Slow Burn : Just A Day (Video). 7" Vinyl - Just A Day : Emily. Secondly, despite being the embodiment of the nine hells, MTV is hosting the video for Just A Day. Click here to view the Just A Day video. Lastly, apparently Grant has broken one of his fingers when dramatically opening a door (?). The ramifications of this are unknown to me as of yet, but if it alters any tour dates, I'll let everyone know.
Text Changes and Discography Update
10/16/01:
Just a quick notice to say that I've updated a few things here and there. Many changes to the lyrics, especially on the more recent b-sides, and on Whooey. Thanks to all who emailed me with corrections, and thanks to the feederweb lyrics for the more recent songs. I have made minor changes to the text on the band info page and the sounds page, thanks to the ever-vigilant Chris Flynn. Lastly, I have added an 'Other Releases' section under the discography. I have put up Another Yesterday and the Seven Days Mini Album, and am working on the High Mini Album. Go to the Discography section to view these albums art and tracklisting. Also, don't forget to vote for Feeder for the MTV awards. Click here to do your part.
Just A Day Info & MP3 Correction
10/4/01:
Not to downplay the last update, as Feeder need the votes, so go vote, but two matters of importance have arisen. The first, is a correction to the MP3. I put up the wrong MP3, a fact which was brought to my attention by James, but the correct one is up now, and can be found here. So if you already downloaded the previous version, download this and you'll have both. What fun! The second point concerns the new single Just A Day, information of which comes from Stu and Collie, so I can only take credit for distributing said information. As such, the intended release date is November the 12th, and the b-sides for it are intended to be Emily, Slow Burn and Can't Stand Losing You, their Police cover witnessed towards the end of their summer festival run. More news to come as events warrant.
MTV Awards
10/3/01:
As you may have heard, Feeder have been nominated for the best UK act for the MTV awards. Despite the complete evil of that entity, Feeder deserve to win this award, regardless of the giver. Thus, do your part and head on over to vote. Just click the button.
Tour Update
10/1/01:
I failed to notice that Feeder have compensated for the lack of Manics tour dates in October with more Stereophonics dates in the UK and Europe. In addition, they have tacked on many additional dates during their planned November run with the Stereophonics. I have now posted the most current tour dates under the Tour section. Sorry for not noticing the change.
General Updates
9/24/01:
Finally, an update after a little more than three weeks, a trend which I shall not be continuing. To start with, I have a few pics that I have obtained from various sites posted, which can be accessed here. I also bring bad tidings, in that the Manic Street Preachers have cancelled their European tour with Feeder. Thus, it appears in strikeout under the tour section. However, the planned arena dates with the Stereophonics are still on, specifics of which can be found in the Tour section. Finally, I have a new MP3 up, being the Two Colours version of Pictures Of Pain, an excellent pre-remixing version of an already standout track. As usual, download it directly here, or go to the Sounds page. When I obtain more information regarding a release date and tracklisting for the Just A Day single, I shall post it forthright.
New Single & MP3
9/2/01:
Feeder recently announced that their upcoming single is to be Just A Day. As of right now I have not a release date, but that should be made apparent shortly. This Seven Days b-side is a good choice for a single, approachable and catchy, with a bit more of a power-pop feel, much akin to Hole In My Head from YWTS. Part two of this update centers around the ever changing sound file of the day/week/month, which in this case is now Descend, recorded live at Wembley Arena in 1999. The quality is top notch, and is indicitave of just how good this songs sounds played live. Be warned, though, as the song is about seven minutes long and a little under nine megs. One can, as usual, get the song directly by clicking here, or get to it from the Sounds section.
Voting and Webcast
8/24/01:
Just to pass along information, if you don't already know, channel4.com will be doing a webcast of basically the entire Reading Festival, a very good thing indeed. Click here to experience the joy. Secondly, of a much less helpful nature, for a lark I have registered my site with dotmusic for the People's Choice Awards for a fansite. So if you feel like it, you can vote for it via this link, or through the link at the bottom of the intro page.
MP3 List
8/18/01:
Well, I've updated the trading list with the help of the mighty Perl, and it is now uploaded for your viewing.
Once again, if you have anything you wish to trade for it, be it Feeder or something Feeder related, like merchandise
or the like, feel free to e-mail me. You can view the updated list here.
Rockpalast
8/16/01:
Well, in the department of late information, here we go. Feeder will be playing the German Bizarre Festival tomorrow, and Rockpalast.de will be airing the entire festival via webcast, obviously including whatever
tracks Feeder decides to play. The site is in German, a bit of a disadvantage for those of us who don't exactly know the language, like myself, but you can always translate with Babelfish.
Also included in this fun will be a web chat with Feeder on the same day. The time is still unknown, so check the site for info. They have a chat button on damn near every page, so just click on that to be taken to the chat page. Go to (or translate)
The Rockpalast Site to get in on this.
New Tour Dates & MP3
8/13/01:
Firstly, Feeder's slated October and November dates for touring with the Manics and the Stereophonics, respectively, are now entered into the Tour section. Both tours should be quite simply amazing.
Also updated is the MP3, which is now So Well, live at the Astoria gig Feeder played in January 2000, not the more recent two night show. It's quite a good MP3 of a brilliant song that they give relatively little live play. Download it directly here, or get it from the Sounds section.
Sounds, Lyrics and Swim
8/5/01:
First off, there are two lyrics pages which have been updated. First is San Diego, thanks to the recording efforts of Stu of Crashmat, which now has full lyrics. If anyone finds a problem with them, specifically the distorted two line interlude between the chorus towards the end, please e-mail me. Secondly is W.I.T., in which one line has been changed, the bit about 'feeling high on the fairgound', not 'me and her on the fairgound'. This can also be attributed to a visitor, Jane, and her keen memory. Second on the list of updates is the addition of Swim Resurfaced to the discography section. I didn't add a seperate listing, instead I just put it under the Swim entry, in the same manner as Polythene (all about consitency). One can view the added entry here. Last on the update list is the updating of the Sounds page. I have put up Can't Dance To Disco recorded live at the Astoria, and it is a great version for many reasons, which can be viewed on the Sounds page. Or just download the song here and be amused by the background vocals.
Minor Updates
7/21/01:
Just two small updates for today. With help from a member of the Anaesthetic community, I have erased a few of the 'unknown' lyrics from Come Back Around, and replaced them with something that sounds right to me. Unfortunately there are two lines that remain which I have no idea about. Secondly, I put up the new festival dates Feeder has obtained recently, which can be viewed here. All for now.
Turn B-sides
7/16/01:
While it seems like I just took a pleasent sabbatical, I was in fact wrestling with both hosting issues for this site and the lyrics to the Turn b-sides. Now, though, I present to you all
the discography entry for Turn, found here, and lyrics for all B-sides excepting San Diego, which I have not been able to get a hold of in permanent format
for repeat listening. Thusly, the lyrics to Bring It Home, Bad Hair Day and Come Back Around can be found on the Song Listings page. Coming soon shall be the
vinyl discography entry for Turn, and the completion (hopefully) of the lyrics to Come Back Around and the entry of the San Diego lyrics.
Turn
7/3/01:
Yesterday, the second of July, Feeder's third Echo Park single, Turn, was released. It was released in two CDs and a Cassette, with a vinyl release following on the 9th.
I have not heard the tracks yet, and thusly lyrics are not available on this site. I shall be coming into possession of the songs and cover art, so in a day or two I will have
full discography and lyrical information for the single, along with my own paltry opinion. Also, of semi-important note, I apologize to all who attempted to download the MP3.
Apparently, the host has decided to eliminate my account. No matter, as I have changed the hosting of the file, being Piece By Piece Live at The Barfly in this case. You can get it
here now.
In Store Signings
6/29/01:
As has been touted on feederweb, Feeder shall be doing a week's worth of signings at various record stores starting on Monday the 2nd, the date of release for Turn. To
view exact locations and times, follow one of the headline links of The Official Feeder Site.
For anyone going to the Edinburgh signing on July the 6th, be aware that the time has been pusehd forward an hour, from 5:30 to 4:30. As soon as I can obtain a copy of the CD,
I shall get a discography entry and lyrics posted. Till then.
Audio Updates
6/23/01:
Two MP3 related updates for today. The first one, of more importance to site patrons, is a new MP3 from my collection of live tracks. This one happens to be a live version of Piece By Piece recorded at the High Fidelity Gig played at the Barfly. Pretty good quality,
and a wonderful version of the song. One can access it here, or get to it from the Sounds area of the Media Section. The second update is regarding
my MP3 trading list. Added a good deal more to it, for those who are interested. More news shall most likely be made available as the release of Turn draws nearer.
Worldpop Alt Site Feeder Feature
6/22/01:
Pretty soon, Worldpop's Alt site will be doing a feature on Feeder. In the meantime, fans can submit questions to the band during the weekend.
To post your questions to Feeder, who will be live chatting with fans on Monday, go to the following URL over the weekend: Worldpop Alternative.

Turn Single Info
6/15/01:
Feeder's new single, to be released on July 2nd, shall be released in both CD format, Cassette format, and Vinyl. The first CD shall contain Turn, Come Back Around, Bring It Home and the Turn video. The second CD will contain Turn, Bad Hair Day and a Making of Echo Park audio track.
Rather underwhelming, what with only one b-side and a 'behind the scenes' sort of thing. The Cassette shall contain Turn, Bring It Home and San Diego, and the vinyl release will have Turn, Come Back Around and Bring It Home. Whether or not it will be numbered is unknown to me at the time.
Feederweb has a clip of Turn, Bring It Home and the Making Of Echo Park available online right now, with more coming later probably. That's all for now.
SDITS Cassette Art
6/14/01:
Very minor, but the art, tracklisting and a quick summation for the Seven Days In The Sun cassette release has been posted in the Discography. Just click on the respective single their to view it, (at the bottom of the page),
or simply click here.
Belated Single News & MP3
6/12/01:
First of all, for those of you who do not already know, Feeder's new single is to be 'Turn', slated for release on July 2nd, competing directly with Ash's 'Sometimes'. The B-sides
are to be San Diego, Bring It Home, Come Back Around and Bad Hair Day. Odd titles, but they're allowed some divergence. Secondly, and more importantly, I have a new MP3 posted, this time
it is a Radio 1 Session version of Tell All Your Friends, the 'better' version, according to Stu (not so overproduced, eh?). Anyway, you can get the MP3 here, or
go to the Sounds area of the Media Section. Enjoy.
Various Things
6/10/01:
While not an update per se, I just wanted to clarify two issues. First off, I am sorry for the downtime of this site, but the host had some trouble with new system
configurations. However, everything is back up and working now, and I plan to put some more content up soon, maybe a new MP3 or something of the sort. Secondly, if anyone
has emailed me, please do no think that I am ignoring you. When the host crashed, they temporarily lost the drive on which they had all mail stored. In about a week, hopefully,
I should have a record of all the emails I received during the downtime. Once again, just wanted to clarify those issues.
Trading Of Songs
5/22/01:
Well, due to requests for certain songs, I have now put up a page containing a list of all MP3 files which I possess. I am willing
to exchange these files for interesting or rare items that people might be willing to trade. If you examine the list, want something I have,
and have something I don't, please email me. You can view the list here, or
get to it from the Media Section.
New MP3
5/20/01:
Due to the greatness of a Sacha Povse, I now possess a CD with video of a concert that Feeder played in 1999 at the
MCM Cafe in Paris. In addition, I have made MP3 files out of the disc, which are great quality, both recording wise and
style wise. In celebration, I have posted perhaps the best of the tracks, the live version of Tinsel Town, in the
Sounds subdivision of the Media section. You can access the MP3 file from there.
Feeder Interview Video
5/15/01:
I profusely appologize for the lack of any tangible updates over the last week. However, I now bring you, thanks to the wonderful generosity of
Sophie, a much appreciated user of Anaesthetic, a 2:49 long interview with Feeder that aired on MTV Europe, in RealVideo format. Fun to watch and
fun to have if one happens to be a collector of Feeder electronic media. You can get (right click on the link and select Save Target As to get it on your hard drive) the movie here,
or access it from our Media Section.
New Site & MP3
5/4/01:
Two things for today. Firstly, I have put up a new MP3, this time being a rather interesting one. Taken from the original 1997 release of Polythene (the one with Waterfall), it is the
original mix of Polythene Girl. Slightly longer and with a different beginning and end. Just a cool rarity of sorts. Check the MP3 out here. Secondly, I have received coorespondence from the webmaster
of the following site desiring a link on my page. While I have not a full-time links section, I am always eager to please, here is a temp link on the main page!
Check out the site here: Feeder @ ThePriorities.com. It's a little sparse on design, but good with info.
Enjoy the site and the MP3.
Rock Sounds
5/3/01:
Quick update. Thanks to Kristi, the cover art for the Rock Sounds CD with Feeder on the cover containing Choke is now posted in the pics section.
Check the pic out here. It's the last one on the page.
Echo Park Lyrics
4/26/01:
Well, after getting my hands on a copy of Echo Park, I now have the official lyrics, and not just blind guesses, posted. In addition, I have back art for the album also.
The lyrics can be found here, and the Echo Park discography entry can be found here.
Echo Park Released
4/23/01:
A merry Monday it is indeed. Today Echo Park is released, unleashing Feeder's third great album unto the public. While not as strong as Polythene, my favorite, it is on par with Yesterday Went Too Soon, and of course possesses the
intrinsic brilliance of all Feeder works. My only recommendation is to buy it if you haven't, and savor it if you have. All information regarding Echo Park has also been posted on Anaesthetic. This includes all Lyrics and a Discography Entry. Enjoy. (Also, unrelated is the fact that
once again thanks to Stu I now have correct cover art for Buck Rogers and improved cover and back art for both Buck Rogers and Seven Days. In addition, I have posted additional tour dates, being the planned festival appearances, including Fuji and Reading.)
Buck Rogers & SDITS Back Art
4/11/01:
For all those who care, as I did this mainly for my own edification and enjoyment, there is now back art for both the Buck Rogers and Seven Days In The Sun singles.
However, this would not be if not for the diligent efforts of Anaesthetic's bestest associate, Stu of Crashmat.
Once again, Anaesthetic has been given a boon from Stu, and once again, Anaesthetic (me) gives thanks to Stu. To quote Jhonen Vasquez, "I do lurid thanky dance" towards Stu.
Enjoy the back and cover art though, if you wish, which can be found in the respective single listings in the Discography section.
May Tour Dates
4/9/01:
According to feederweb, Feeder will be touring Europe throughout May with Muse. Note that the tickets for these events are regretably not available online through feederweb, only through the box office.
Check out the added dates in the Tour section.
Media Section Update
4/8/01:
Well, after procrastinating, I got around to uploading a new MP3 file to replace World Asleep, being the Glastonbury 2000 version of Cement. While I assume all site patrons have or
are familiar with said song, and may question what's so special about some live version, they must listen. It's probably the best version of the song I've heard (of all the live and studio
versions). Truly impressive. Go to the Sounds page of the Media Section to grab the file.
SDITS B-sides lyrics
4/6/01:
After a short spurt of work and concentration, I have produced my idea of the lyrics to the Seven Days In The Sun B-sides (Just A Day, Reminders, Forever Glow, Home For Summer). I would estimate a near one hundred percent accuracy, but if you find
something to be wrong, please mail me and I'll correct it. Enjoy the lyrics, which can be found on the Song Listings page.
Feeder Interview
4/5/01:
A fan of Feeder, Jon Austin, Editor/Producer at Electronics Boutique UK, recently managed to grab an interview with Feeder. 'Tis a very good
interview, most certainly worth reading, and focusing on (among other things) Feeder's involvement in various games, specifically the upcoming Gran
Turisimo 3 featuring Just A Day. Read the interview here.
Thanks go to Jon for a quality interview.
Seven Days In The Sun
4/2/01:
On this day the second of April, Feeder releases their new single Seven Days In The Sun, a brilliant song with comparable B-sides. As it stands, one can find the lyrics
to the song here, and the discography entry of the single here. Enjoy.
The Mecca Is Gone
3/31/01:
A short while back, the online Feeder community suffered a grievous loss. The longest running Feeder site, the Feeder Mecca, has closed its proverbial doors.
Its presence will be sorely missed. Thanks go to Collie for all his hard work over the years, championing one of the best bands out there.
Taking its place on my sites tab will be Oxidized, a good, well designed and thought out site. May other sites of high repute rise from the Mecca's ashes like a phoenix from the same.
Feeder & Video-C
3/30/01:
Well, as a boon to all of us who have never actually seen a Feeder video due to unawareness or lack of receiving good television channels, Video-C has been kind enough to put eight of Feeder's
more popular videos up on line. Most are full length, with one or two being 30 second clips. Regardless, though, a very good prospect. Thanks to the staff at Video-C for a much appreciated
project. Go check out the vids at Video-C.
The Media Section Lives
3/14/01:
After a veritable moritorium on anything but pics in the media seciton, I have slightly overhauled it so that everything actually works. I have added a few more pics, and have the MP3 section working.
Since I do have some qualms against the whole thing, I'm only putting one MP3 on every month or so. But trust me, they'll be good. Mostly live stuff I'm thinking, too. However, to commence with
I have posted the ever elusive World Asleep, a gem from their Stereo World single. As such, enjoy the new Media Section.
Seven Days In The Sun
3/12/01:
Pre-empting the release on April 2nd of Feeder's second Echo Park single, feederweb has kindly put up a healthy dose of single related media in streaming format. This includes a full version of Seven Days In The Sun, plus clips of the b-sides and a full length video.
Most certainly worth checking out, especially the two acoustic b-sides (Home For The Summer and Forever Glow). Find the above items at The Official Feeder Website.
Maida Vale Session and Web Chat
3/6/01:
Sorry for the lack of updates, but not much has been happening as of late, and life's been a little busy. Anyway, Feeder recently played a live set on Lamacq Live on Radio 1. The page with the link to the webcast can be accessed here. The link is defunct last time I checked, but it says
that you can watch it for a few days afterward, so it could be working soon. Secondly, they had a web chat on Radio 1 following this set, the transcript of which can be accessed here. More news will be coming soon hopefully, regarding Seven Days in the Sun B-Sides perhaps. Till then.
New UK Tour Dates
2/11/01:
Due to Feeder's recent streak of good fortune and success, they have slated for twelve additional UK tour dates. Check out the Tour Section for a complete and updated list of venues and dates. To purchase tickets, visit the tour section of The Official Feeder Website.
The New Crashmat
1/29/01:
One of Anaesthetic's more active associates has recently posted the new version of his site. It is a very inspired and clean design, designed with a panache and a mix of simplicity and functionality. Everyone be sure to check it out, and post a message on his board.
Go see The New Crashmat now.
March Tour Venue Changes
1/28/01:
Feeder has recently upgraded two of the UK Tour venues for their March Tour. They have changed the Norich show from the Waterfront to the UEA, and the Manchester Gig from the MDH to the Academy. The dates are still the same, and previously bought tickets are still valid.
This information has been added to the Tour Section here and to the tour section on The Official Feeder Site.
We The Electronic Lyrics
1/16/01:
Thanks to the keen ears of Stu from The Crashmat, the lyrics to We The Electronic, excepting the last three lines of the first verse, are now posted. They can be found on the song listings page. If anyone knows the missing lines, please feel free to e-mail me.
Buck Rogers B-sides Lyrics
1/15/01:
I have managed to put together my idea of the Buck Rogers B-sides lyrics, and have added them to the song listings page. I have also made a cosmetic change to the song listings page, organizing it by letter.
I have lyrics to 21st Century Meltdown, Heads, Purple and Sex Type Drug. However, I cannot figure out the We The Electronic lyrics. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
General Announcements
1/13/01:
After a good deal of frustration regarding ASP and my server's hosting capabilities, I have a mildly changed web site. Well, only the interface is changed, nothing much else.
However, I did manage to get the new tour dates in March posted, and also managed to get Buck Rogers added to the discography section, although the cover art is a hack-job at best on my part.
Lyrics to Buck Rogers are up, and the rest of the songs will be coming soon. And finally, the confirmed release date for Echo Park is slated to be April 2nd. Till then.
Web Chat Advance Questioning
12/30/00:
For the second headline purloined from feederweb.com, Feeder (minus Jon Lee) are going to be having a live web chat at 5:30 GMT on the 4th of January, hosted by dotmusic.com. While feederweb doesn't give any particulars besides that time, it does provide a form for putting your question in a queue of advance questions.
So if you want to, either go the The Official Feeder Website, or go to this URL.
Tower Records Live Gig
12/30/00:
To coincide with the release of their new single, Buck Rogers, Feeder is going to be playing a small live set as Tower Records Piccadilly Circus on the 8th of January at 5:30 pm. They will also be signing copies of their new single over a four day span, on the 8th, 10th and 11th at various UK record stores.
For a complete list of times and venues, consult The Official Feeder Website.
Glasgow Show Information
12/13/00:
Feeder's first Echo Park promotion gig took place last night at The Cathouse in Glasgow. As predicted, it was a very large success, and provided a wonderful glimpse of their new material. The set list consisted of the following songs:
Standing on the Edge, Buck Rogers, Seven Days in the Sun, Day in Day Out, Turn, My Perfect Day, Can't Rewind, Insomnia, Oxygen, Nurofen and Sweet Sixteen. The encore consisted of Cement, Bug, Women in Towels and, of course, High.
The upcoming show at Cockpit in Leeds, on the 14th, will be recorded by NME, who will air a webcast on the 21st. Those of you lucky enough to get tickets, feel free to post your comments on The Anaesthetic Message Board.
Message Board Online
12/11/00:
Following the wise course of both The Feeder Mecca and The Feeder Rehab, I have instituted The Anaesthetic Message Board, conspicuously on Boardhost.com, the same server as both the Rehab and Mecca. Hopefully some people will start using
it and make it worth others' while. Please feel free to post Feeder-related info and get the board going. To visit the board, just click on the link at the top of this News page, or the link in this paragraph.
New Album Track Confirmations
12/9/00:
I know this might seem a little like assaulting an equine of mortuary status, but I've got some more info on track listings. According to Tom Perou, and his source, the absolutely
confirmed tracks for Echo Park are 'Buck Rogers', 'Standing on the Edge', 'We Can't Rewind', 'Oxygen', 'Revolution' and 'Piece by Piece'. Myself and everyone one else (I would assume) has only heard Buck Rogers, Revolution and Oxygen, but the other songs should be just as good.
If I am wrong on this, please tell me.
New Album Sounds
11/27/00:
Good news for all those who have been waiting patiently for a chance to sample more than just Buck Rogers and Under the Weather, two very good songs from the new album Echo Park. The Official Feeder Site has a good collection of B-sides and songs released for the new album. You'll need the Windows Media Player to hear them, but most everyone's got that.
All the songs sound really good, and are well-produced, with audible bass this time, unlike the less full sound of Yesterday Went Too Soon. Enjoy the previews of these great new songs.
Buck Rogers single info
11/24/00:
On November 27th, people will finally have a chance (if they did not attend the summer festivals or listen to the radio) to hear the new Feeder single Buck Rogers, the lead track to the upcoming Echo Park. The single will be made available at listening posts in 120 UK indie record stores. In addition to hearing Buck Rogers, listeners will be able to hear one of the five
B sides Feeder has recorded for this release. For a list of all the stores, check The Official Feeder Site. The single will be officially released on January 8th.
New UK Tour Dates
11/17/00:
To promote songs from their new album, Feeder will be playing a set of four shows in the UK this December featuring songs from the new album. For information on the exact dates and venues, please consult
the Tours section of this page. To find out information on ticket purchasing or supporting Feeder at these four shows, consult The Official Feeder Site.
New Album Info
11/17/00:
Just a quick update on the new album slated for a March 2001 release. The tentative title will be Echo Park, in case you were wondering. Feeder recorded the album at Great Lindford Manor, with the aid of producer Gil Norton. They mixed the album in Los Angeles, California, this time with the help of Jack Joseph Puig.
New album info, as always, will posted as events warrant.
Confirmation of Release Dates
11/11/00:
In a recent webcast on Juice.net, Feeder was kind enough to confirm previously hinted at release dates for their new musical work. The apparent, confirmed schedule is for a single release in the UK in January 2001, followed by their third full-length album in March. If the live versions of Oxygen and Revolution are any indication, this album might be their best.
Jon Lee to Be Wed in Miami
11/05/00:
Congratulations are in due order to drummer Jon Lee. His abscence from the Australia tour was because of wedding preparations for him and his wife-to-be, Tatiana, in Miami, Florida. The two already have a child. Grant and Taka joined the two after having completed their short tour. Praise and congratulations to the happy couple from Anaesthetic.
New Album Recording Finished
10/22/00:
Feeder has recently finished recording their third full-length album, so expect a release sometime in the near future. Song titles
will include (speculatively), Revolution, Buck Rodgers, Seven Days in the Sun, Under the Weather and Oxygen. They've played Revolution and Oxygen
at some festivals (Glastonbury and V2000), to a good reception. Here's hoping for another fine work.
